Hello all, i'm wondering if someone could help me or point me in the right direction or even let me know what i'm doing wrong. So i received my brand new kvm today and i hooked it up and ran the usual scans. So i erased all keys because they were only programmed to the cluster and that was the only way to start the car. They did not control anything else like locks, alarms or regular start. I configured the module as new and tried to program the keys as passive keys. I tried programming them as existing and as new keys and when it came time to press the unlock button on the fobs nothing happen and so i get key learn failed every time. 1 key i have is the original with a good battery and the other key is brand new. I've tried immobilize, configure bcm as existing and new, configure bcmb as existing and new, configured kvm as existing and new, key programming, verifying keys. It shows as 2 keys programmed and 0 keys passive. If anyone knows the issue i would be most grateful.
So i've gotten the vehicle started via the cluster but i have to put the fobs in the starter unit to start the vehicle and fobs still don't control locks, alarms etc. The original kvm that was in the vehicle kept getting communication lost. Tried modifying it as existing and as new module but the same lost communication error every time. After the new one was installed every thing went fine until it came time to program the keys. Learn failed every time and even though the new kvm updated, under the kvm section i'm getting 2 unknown parts. I also saw something that said kvm compatibility issue which is weird since the module is straight from the jaguar manufacturers and part number is exact. I'm assuming it may be the keyless entry antenna that's not picking up any fob that's in or around the vehicle. F.Y.I. i bought this vehicle from someone who was having issues with key not recognized so they just decided to sell it. Seemed like a easy fix...lol
I bought a brand new KVM from Jaguar and while programming it as new module i got this message. Does anyone know how to rectify it. I think it is my issue for why i can't program any keys.
Have you tried downloading additional files?
It's under settings and says download calibration files. I have let the system keep doing this until it says there are no more?
I have never had a situation where I did NOT have the needed files because of this (I think?).
Update: Once i replaced the rf receiver i was able to program my passive keys to the car. Thanks guys
Hey man, I'm facing the same issue with a 2007 X150, quick question...when you mentioned you were getting communication problems that lead to replacing the KVM do you remember what those were or the codes?
I'm having communication issues but they codes about different modules like :
ABS lost communication with speed control module
CCM invalid data received from ABS control module
FLR invalid data received from ECM
BCM Passive key
Found these while chasing the issue with the keyless entry and Smart Key not found problem after the battery died, also just discovered that my KVM reports 0 keys programmed but the car still works with the key on the slot since the Instrument Cluster has both transponders in its memory.
Read on another forum about a guy experiencing issues with CAN communications and had to disconnect the ABS sensor before programming and then everything went well.
Just want to see if someone had a similar experience before experimenting....don't wan to make things worst.
