Default Sticky Button anyone?

Hi All,
Have a 2012 XF portfolio and we spilled a small bit of some liquid on top of the buttons near the gear knob. I tried to wipe with dry cloth and it started sticking. tried with damp towel and it took some of it away. But now have a sticky feeling on all the rubberized buttons.
Is there a process to clean them? I live in houston and it gets humid here a lot.
Appreciate any feedback.

Regards,

I have a sticky cruise control switch on my '10 XF. Do you think the electronic cleaner would free up the stickiness on this switch too? It is an annoyance to hear the the switch click after I have engaged the cruise control.

ok if i understand you correctly we both are having different sticky. What i had was Glue kind of sticky to the Touch on the surface. Yours sounds like its in the mechanism. maybe if you took it apart or sprayed the joints it might fix it. the cleaner was quick drying though. so no worries if it got inside.

I'm having the same problem. Exactly how did you apply it to the buttons?
