TPMS question
Anyone else ever have issues with aftermarket tpms sensors? I had 4 new aftermarkets put on, the right front threw a code, replaced again with a new one and it's still throwing the code. I bought 4 OEM ones hoping that it fixes my issue. Weird thing is, is that it's only the one throwing a code!
I just put on 4 new wheels and tires, bought VDO/Siemens TMPS sensors from Rockauto ( they are the manufacturer that makes them for jaguar) in fact they have a blank space for the jaguar logo. 20 bucks each,Shop put them on, installed the tires and wheels drove away all was good
The TPMS sensors should be pre-programmed. I'm not sure if I have a sensor problem or it's the initiator in the fender well. The initiator is only 28 bucks so I figured I might as well get one just in case that's causing my issue.

I've had a lot of problems with aftermarket tpms sensors. As have others too. The jag system seems to be sensitive to non oem ones. I tried a set of good quality aftermarket ones with my winter wheels and they were great at first, then a few intermittent errors, then a lot. Tried various swaps and changes but couldn't fix and Jag dealer assured me it was aftermarket sensors. Changed them for oem jag ones (found cheap on eBay) and been perfect ever since
Seems hit and miss. They work perfectly for some people and a real pain for others

Changed the initiator today and reset the code since I got that part first in the mail. Tpms sensors are still in shipping in Texas. So far I've driven 60 miles with out the code returning. Used to be every 25 miles the light would come back after deleting. Maybe I don't need the OEM sensors. I'll keep everybody posted

So definitely check with dealer for the right one for your vin
It's definitely 315. I have a TPMS programmer. I already checked all that. It looks like my problem was just the initiator. I ended up buying four sensors because they were on clearance and I'll just keep them for a rainy day
