Default XF Plastidip

Okay I did some quick plasti diped on the trim of the car.

Why did I do it I have seen a couple of other Liquid Silver and I wanted to personalize accents my car. I like my 19" Cavalar wheels so I did not go there- plus that is a bigger job and I am too lazy-busy.

1) Spoiler - Red with metalizer
2) Trunk/Boot Jaguar and XF logos - Matt Black
3) Side vent top half Red with metalizer - Driver Side
4) Side vent top half Black with Glossifier - Passenger Side

The good think is if I do not like it I just peel it off - no harm no foul.

At $6 a can you cannot go wrong. BTW wear a mask when can spraying :-)

Any one else done accents on their XF car ? Looking for ideas.

Its hard to make red accents look good on a car I would stick with just black, but bottom line is thats its your car so do as you see fit. TC

I dipped my grille about 6 months ago. Has held up well, no rock chips or peeling:

Curious to see the red accents you did, post up some pics when you get a chance.

I dipped the entire car but the color turned out wrong so I peeled it. I have also dipped the window trim, mirrors, front grille, lower grilles, spoiler, lower rear valance, rear Jaguar and logos, and the roof antenna. This weekend I peeled everything but the grilles and mirrors. I ordered some carbon fiber vinyl wrap. I want to try that on the spoiler. What color is your car?

Default SilverRed Accents

My XF Silver Red Accents. It was actually fun doing it although I got a little impatient with the time between coats and splurged a little. you get the just. The red could be darker - but it is does stand out and that is what I wanted.

red on lower front

Interesting result with Plasti dip on standard logo - I need to get the real red replacement.

Well that is definitely unique! Not my style or taste personally but it looks like you applied it properly from what I can tell (although the photos are a little fuzzy) and if you get bored with it you can always peel it off. That is the allure of plastidip!

You can, I actually got mine from the local Jag dealer because they had a coupon for like 20% off of the parts department. It was maybe $30 or $40 I can't remember. The old badge pops out pretty easily, I pulled it off right when I got home from a drive so it was nice and warm and the tape just came right off.

I simply sprayed because I was too lazy to remove the bumper. It has held up fine

Looks great! Can you let me know where you got the front grill R badge, and how it mounts? Thanks!

Thanks! It actually came on the car from the previous owner. He had it mounted on the ACC module with double sided tape (for some reason). I just relocated it to the grille with double sided automotive tape, dipped over it and then peeled the dip off.

SNG Barratt can probably hook you up with the badge itself
