Default Cleaning throttle body NOW - 2000 XJ8

I'm following these instrux:

http://www.maxperformancecars.com/dm...Clean_MAFS.pdf

to clean the throttle body on my car.

It says to have someone hold the gas pedal down to make the throttle valve "easier to open and clean the throttle valve" however even with the gas pedal depressed it wants to be hard to open - not to mention a local non-jag mechanic said DON'T TOUCH THE VALVE or you'll be in here with more problems.

So how much pressure should be needed to open that valve with the gas pedal pressed? Am I being a wimp?

Sure would appreciate quick response - in the middle of it now.

Turn the ignition on without starting. The throttle pedal will then open the valve.

I tried to view http://www.maxperformancecars.com/dm...Clean_MAFS.pdf but the link did not work. I have a 2000 XJ8 that keep saying off track and going into limp mode. I cleaned my oxygen sensors and changed my Mass Air Flow sensor and still I'm getting the off track limp mode my codes are p1111,p0175,P171 P0121 I think it has to be my thottle body. Does anyone have a video link with instructions on cleaning the Throttle body before replacing.
