Offset (ET value) is how in the surface of the mating to hub area are in to the wheel.
Try this: https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/

The offset of a rim refers to the distance between the mounting surface of the wheel (where it bolts onto the hub) and the centerline of the wheel. The wrong offset can cause clearance issues, affect handling, or lead to premature wear on suspension components.

  • Bolt Pattern
    • Jaguar XE (2018): 5x108
    • Jaguar XJ (2015): 5x108
      Match!
  • Center Bore
    • XE: ~63.4 mm
    • XJ: ~63.4 mm
      Match!
  • Offset (ET)
    • XE: ~45–50 mm
    • XJ: ~40–45 mm
⚠️ Slight difference—XE wheels may sit slightly farther in the wheel well.

JaguarXJL15, based on the fact that the XJ uses a wider wheel than 265's in the rear, having the rear wheels sit in 5 mm (approx 1/4") is going to be minimal in effect. So, yes, the wheels will fit on the XJ and be usable. The one "downside" I would put on this is that having the offset be the 5mm different, this may put more stress on the bearing from the tire wanting to pop out the top of the wheel well to the side. But, this would be a minimal effect and to quantify it, I would say that you would shorten a wheel bearing life say 50K miles out of a 200K mile life. Probably not even that. The same is true for the front end.

XE rim width and tire spec is completely different! XE uses 8+9" staggered setup and XJ uses 9+10" setup. Accordingly tires are 245/40 + 275/35 in XJ.

Those wheels look mickey mouse in XJ and tire load spec totally insufficient (92/94Y vs 99/102Y).

Good Point Pacer. That's another difference to take into account.
