All - My 2016 Jax XJL remote start through an Iphone App stopped working. I tried various things install/uninstall newer app, newer device etc,. Nothing worked. Took the car to the dealership and they are saying ATT has ended 3G in US so it stopped working. They are searching for a resolution.

Has anyone encountered this so far? See dealer notes below:

 

My dealer has now had my 2017 XJL for 7 1/2 weeks trying to figure out why my remote start isn't working. It's been in and out since I purchased the car as the second owner 2 years ago. Seems to work fine when it hot out or the car is warmed up, but in the winter, when I really want to use it, it simply won't connect to the car.
The phase out of 3G caused Jaguar to downgrade to 2G service (which is being phased out itself at the end of this year). I did question whether the phase out of 3G was to blame for the lack of the remote start working and the service manager told me that no, it would work through the 2G service.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to this although I'm in the UK, the UK is also planning to do this at some point.
