I am even open to sacrilege (creating an access from the trunk - I've did something similar on a 89 Range Rover I owned when I had to replace fuel pump vs dropping the tank
Recommendations on repair manual would be great also!
I have accessed Topix before for a different job and it was detailed on how things worked and where things are but not particularly DIY reasonably handy step by step helpful and I had technical issues with the billing so I am reluctant to try it again.

You can use Topix and I have an account and have used it a bit. It's expensive and hard to download what you want. I found a cheap disc from EBay was WAY better. Also be aware the Jaguar manuals are not very good and have a tons of repetition and they are HUGE! Like 8500 pages. The crappy safety warnings are probably repeated 1000 times at least and they are worthless because they don't tell you how to fix anything.
I have several copies and different versions as I have yet to find one that covers the car 100%. I can upload them somewhere so you can get them. I also have the F-Type and XF manuals because there is so much overlap between the models.
Yes I thought at one time I would need to remove and repair this but found what you did. It's a big job. Good luck cutting holes in the car.
The rear subframe needs to be dropped and take a look in the manual (When you get one). I sorta got lucky and it ended up being a bad cat (way more expensive for sure BUT a heck of lot easier to swap out!)
I don't know how deep you want to go but I use and recommend JPART and JEPC. This is the factory exploded parts diagrams. This turned into a software mess until JPART was written for us because JEPC requires Flash Player and that's all been removed from your computer due to security problems.
Search for JPART as it's a free download in that thread.
PS; Are you sure that's the problem? Just asking because of the difficulty of the repair. I do have a complete spare DTML.
Is this the part your trying to replace?
Hi clubairth1!
Thanks you for the reply!
I wasn't super serious about the access panel but if things get desperate.. An upload would be awesome! I could look to see if have a dropbox account or similar (unless you have one?) I'll take a look at Jpart for sure!
Yes that's it - the pump is screwed into that canister. This has happened before, the pump gets ice/water in it. Had a dealership replace it before and they didn't put the foam shield that is supposed to prevent the problem hopefully I can find foam also.
