Default Cleaning scuffs off door step

The door step looks lovely when cleaned, but I have some scuff marks on them (see far right of picture).

Is there a way to get these smoothed out? How much are these to replace?

The scuff plates are satin brushed. Mine is scratched up as well.
Just clean them up by re-brushing it again.

Buy one of those 3M green pads. Go with the flow of the brushing lines. You won't get those deep scuffs off. But 80% of them will be gone in 20-30 passes. To get those deep scuffs off, you can try sanding them down with a 200 grit sandpaper and finish it up with the 3M green pads.

They don't look like brushed aluminium to me, but if they are it certainly sounds like a plan.

Sounds like you may be looking to replace them anyway as a last resort?

If so, a general sanding down, perhaps followed by fine grade 0000 wire wool then Autosol metal polish could achieve the desired effect?

Worst case scenario you have to replace them

Do not use autosol on it. It will take away the brush lines and make it polished.
I will take a picture of mine when I have the time.

I'll try the wire wool if the brillo stuff doesn't work.

Not the best picture. Notice the scuffs below the letters "JAG". After 15 minutes of the green wool and 90% of the scuffs are gone.

To get the deeper scuffs off you can try sandpaper it and than finish it off with green wool.

The first picture is before. The 2nd and 3rd are the after.
