They're no better than standard but noisier and can be annoying at slow speeds. I'd avoid them, probably most everyone has so don't expect a lot of pics etc

+1. Contrary to myth, they don't stop a car any faster. The slots and holes just add a 'bling' factor if you're into that.

While I do not plan to get drilled or slotted rotors I am probably going to try EBC Red Stuff pads. They take longer to bed in but once they are you have superior braking, less rotor wear and less brake dust.

I've got their Red ones on now and am very disappointed at the dust - as bad as OEM. I won't use them again. People say akebona (sp?) are OK.

I agree that slotted and drilled brake rotors are mostly for "bling's sake," however they do impress 90% of those that notice them, perhaps 5% of the people who view your car.

I love them. I know it is silly, but I cant help myself. I had them (slotted and hatted) on my s60R (didn't notice any negative issue, didn't really notice anything positive either). I'd have them on my XKR in a flash, but I cant find anywhere that stocks them.

If you persist and find somewhere, post it coz maybe they will fit the XKR as well. I'd take slotted or cross drilled (aware of risks with cross drilled) but I wouldn't bother with the dimpled ones because they aren't redneck enough for me (which we call "bogan")

Bruce, check out Rock Auto in the good ol' US of A, they have lots of Centric slotted & dimpled brake rotors for a 2011 XKR, see here: https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php
I've bought heaps of things from them over the years, usually the best price you'll find and their freight charges to Oz are quite reasonable.

JagV8 did you notice any improvement in braking and rotor wear?

None at all. I won't be using Red Stuff again.
