I have a 2011 5.0 xjl I was sitting in it one day with the heat on and it started overheating turned it off immediately couple hours later came back checked coolant level and it was normal then a couple weeks later same thing replaced thermostat and got an oil change learned that I have an oil leak too along with the same overheating problem need help finding the issue
Looks like your brake booster vacuum pump. It is a common spot for an oil leak. The o-ring can be replaced or you can buy a new vacuum pump. I did the latter not knowing at the time that the gasket could be replaced.

The oil leak at the vacuum pump is not causing your overheating. That is a common spot for a leak and and easy fix.
Your engine is all aluminum. Overheating will destroy it very quickly. You need to find the cause and remedy before you blow the head gasket.
Maybe C2D3771(?)
I think I need one too, and did a quick search for a 2012 Jaguar XJ brake vacuum booster pump seal (and "kit" came up, to finish the search criteria)
That's the one that's leaking on mine - not the seal between the pump and the engine block (which is the part number what's quoted above) so am watching this thread too
