I've just purchased a 2011 XJL with rear entertainment. The controller in the arm rest works. Infa Red works for headphones. Just no power to the 2 rear screens in the head rests.
I've searched the fuses and F67 is fine. Can't find anything else on line for this?
The head unit says its sending DVD to the screens but nothing.
Does anyone have any ideas or insight before I start stripping the seats down?

My 2012 XJL has rear entertainment but when purchased had no controller in the armrest. I vaguely remember having similar issues which were eventually resolved by some settings in the head unit. Sorry I cant remember the detail of what fixed it but would suggest you confirm you can get video in the head unit. Beyond this forum you can also try Land rover forums as the same system was used there.
The rear seat entertainment module that is located behind the rear passenger seat, gets power from fuse FA6 of the Quiescent Control Module. See diagram. I believe the module is located in the trunk on the left hand side under the trunk sill plate. The rear seat entertainment module sends signals to the screens.
I installed the factory rear seat entertainment system in my XJ back in 2017. Before I started the project, I remember wondering where does the system get power from. I tapped into the white-blue wire that is shown on the diagram. If you are not getting power to BOTH the screens or they are not turning on, I suspect that the white-blue wire or the fuse is the culprit. I hope this helps.
I think you misunderstood what I sent. The module located behind the rear seat is the Rear Seat Entertainment module. That module receives power FROM the Quiescent Control module which is located in the trunk under the sill
plate. Start there with fuse FA6. If the fuse is still in tact, test to see if that white-blue wire has continuity from the Quiescent Control module to the Rear Seat Entertainment module as there could be a break. A break in that white-blue wire would stop both screens from working. From working with electronic components, if multiple items don’t work collectively, then it is likely a main power issue from the source. If only one component is not working, then the problem is a bit more isolated to a specific area. In your case, BOTH screens are not working. This would lead me to believe that the problem is originating somewhere between the Rear Seat Entertainment Module and the Quiescent Control Module. Not the screens themselves. If only one screen was working, then the problem would be isolated somewhere from the RSE module to the inoperable screen. SDD won't be much help to you. You’ll need the wiring diagram to solve this. Hopefully you understand my logic.
**UPDATE**
I had to leave the battery disconnected for a couple of days (Another issue) and now one of the screens has started working!
For some reason SDD won't let me run the diagnostic on the rear screen, just get Topix is encountering a problem.
Would it be worth getting a 2nd hand screen and swapping the non working one? Or would it be worth swapping the screens round to see if they work?
I swapped the screens, left to right and still the same side not working.
I checked all the wires for continuity and all ok. Checked the cables under the seat.
tried swapping the rear module and still no change.
plugged it all back in and it all works!!!!
BUT. Only for a while. The right one this time went blank but had the back illuminated. Then I turned the right side off and it’s not coming back in.
