Default Rebuild X351 after big crash

Hi :-)

i have bought a Jaguar XJ 351, but they have a big crash :X
So now i try to Rebuilt them and will give you some pictures and Videos to follow this Projekt if you want :-)

YIKES!,

That looks like a huge job!

The first thing that needs to be checked is the chassis. That requires a specialist with the correct jig. If it is twisted it's pretty much game over. The second thing to remember is that these cars are basically glued and riveted together. They can be repaired, and new panels can be bonded in, but it requires specialist equipment.

Yes, i saw the maybe 300 riveted -_-

But the Documentation from Jaguar are very nice

I'm thinking your biggest issue wil be the rear 1/4 panels as they are structural.

just for you a litle update:
i got new TÜV, so i´m finish to drive with the car

the left side i need so change a litle bit more, but for now, its fine
Video is comming

Wow nice job!! If I come back in another life I think I would like to be able to do work like this (my auto mechanical ability is 0). Must be satisfying to bring that machine back to life .

Yeah, me too!

Sadly, in 2016, my wife's 2012 XJ-l got "rear ended, in somewhat similar a fashion as the one pictured here. The insurance and body shop repair estimates were in the $38,000 neighborhood. In short, they totaled the car..........
