Default Service Action Notification

I just received a card in the mail stating that my "2011 Jaguar XJ Supercharged is eligible to receive a no cost service upgrade."

It goes on to state that "Service actions typically involve computer-controlled software updates or hardware upgrades...."

Has anyone had this done and if so, what did they change?

I received the same card in the mail yesterday...came by here to see if anybody on the forums has done the service, ha! Anybody? :-)

I recieved the same for my 2004 XK8.
Anyone got a handle on this ?

Tread carefully, this sort of thing needs confirming by a Jaguar main agent; after all it would be them to do any upgrade to whatever.

If there is a phone number and you call and get asked for personal bank account info, passwords and PIN numbers, it's a scam.

What service upgrade, this applies to tsb's. K140,...etc spell anything out like what it regards. Call a dealer and asked based on vin what actions are open for your vin

Out of curiosity since you mentioned it, does K140 cover MY2012?

No, K140 only is for the early 2013's that came with the same Smart Keys as the '11's and '12's. It replaces those keys with the newer, smaller key the rest of the '13's have.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but has anybody proceeded with this official Jaguar Service Action notification? Was going to give my dealer a call today and inquire about it, but thought I would ask you guys first. Cheers!

Drop me a PM with your VIN number and exactly what your card says. I'll see if I can't get you an answer re: anything outstanding for your car.
