Default 2004 LED rear brake/turn signal help.

I was driving the other day and on the display on the dash came a warning saying right rear turn signal failure. I turned on the signal and heard the fast clicking of the signal instead of the normal timing. I get out and I have no drivers side rear turn signal or brake light. These are LEDs not just a bulb. So I turn off the car and restart and all is back to normal. This has done this now 4 times in 2 weeks. Any suggestions. It goes back to normal soon as I shut the car off and back on and the display on the dash clears.

Wrong forum. But I'm surprised they are LEDs from factory or are they aftermarket?

I do believe the OEM bulbs are LED. I would disconnect and reconnect the connectors for these lights and check ground connections. Any corrosion should be cleaned with fine sandpaper. The electrical connectors on these vehicles are not as robust as we would desire. I have had issues with the side marker light sockets and connectors on my 2004 XJR. Those bulbs were not LED but I replaced them with LEDs.

Hey its been a while but I ended up bringing to the dealer and they replaced the rear fuse panel in the trunk and it solved the brake light problem. $1200 and they even detailed the car LOL. They had it for 16 days and I was expecting huge dollars. The new fuse panel from the dealer cost $780 and then the diagnostics and then the replacement. Hope this helps someone else as you can buy used fuse panels super cheap on ebay!!! It also fixed the heated seats that stopped working!!! Now Im working on the Infamous Cruise control not available. Ugh!!! And yes the rear tail lights are LED from the factory.
