Took me a ton of hunting until some thread or kind soul told me where to find the data port.

So to make it easier for others and searchable as I couldn't find it under a search, it is located directly below the ignition switch at the bottom of the cover below the steering wheel. It is hidden up against the center console.

On my 99 VDP it is on the left side behind the holder for the garage door opener.



Place to plug in your OBD reader. Don't even have to pull off any covers to get to this. It is hidden back up in there so use a flashlight to see where to plug in.

 

Thanks for the tip! Engine light came on on my way home from work. I pulled into the local parts store to borrow an obd scanner. For the life of me I could not find the darn port. I gave up and went home.
