Default 2006 XJ8 Metallic Radiance

Looking for some pictures of the above. Also a couple questions about the car.
How common/uncommon is this color?
What makes this model different than the 04 besides price point?
How much should I be looking to pay for an 06 with 72k miles?
Any insider info on the knicks and knacks this vehicle has would be nice to know as well. Thank you, look forward to being apart of the community and look forward to my first Jag.

Default Great color

Welcome. Check the sticky at the top of the forum page for info.

IMHO the air suspension is the main bugaboo with this model.

It's a sweet ride but not as maintenance-free as a Lexus or Acura.

Consider introducing yourself in the New Members subforum.

I looked through the link but couldn't seem to find the answers to the questions I asked. Thank you for the link as it was a good read through. Still would like to know if the color is on the common side or rare side? Also the differences with an 06 to an 04 and how much I should be paying. All help is appreciated and more pictures if you happen to have one of these beauties. Thanks!

Changes for 2006MY are.....

The Jaguar XJ receives a few refinements for 2006. Both V8 engines see modest increases in output, and the braking system has been revised for a better feel. New features include chrome-mesh grille inserts, laminated side-window glass for reduced road noise, satellite radio, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and an upgraded tire-pressure monitoring system. For 2006, there's also the Super V8 Portfolio, a new top-of-the-line, limited-edition trim level.

"modest increases in output" = about 10bhp

They also removed the plastic strips down the middle of the doors, which gives the car a cleaner look

As said before, the biggest single issue is the air suspension, but that should not be a deal breaker or put you off the XJ

Radiance is a nice colour. I don't have any production numbers but I wouldn't say it's particularly uncommon. I see only a few X350 XJs anyway, and of those, I've seen at least one that was Radiance.

Search these forums for the member H20Boy. He has a gorgeous Radiance SuperV8 with a nice picture of it in his siganture

Well, here in England, the colour Metallic Radiance is not very common. IMHO it is a very nice looking colour and sets the traditional shape off very well too. Most popular colours were Black, Silver, Grey and Blue (most of these will be metallics). Blue and Grey colours can be light or dark of course. I just looked in Autotrader UK for X350s, and there is a total of 15 reds for sale out of 429 on the site.

Thank you both for the great information. I'm glad to see this is not one of the common colors as I like to have something that's a bit of a one off. I'm a big fan of the color, would look great with a St.George cross on the front bumper.

I have a 2003 radiance red XJ here in the UK and it has always had great comments from others. Looks great and, as mentioned by others, there are not many around.

The first few pics (pre-modifications) were taken w/ my polarized. Appears a little darker.

Will post pictures of my beauty here in the next couple of days and make a new thread. Looking to put rims on her now and she will be ready for the photo shoot.

I did a lot of research during my wheel selection, let me know if you need advice, source leads, etc. I'll be glad to help.
