Air Bag Warning (B2291) only since new Windscreen Fitted
After having a cracked windscreen replaced today i had only driven 50 yards when i saw the yellow air bag warning symbol was on.
Naturally i went straight back to the shop who had done the replacement and they checked with their very expensive diagnostic system and found a fault message which was indicating that there was a problem under the passenger seat.
i have been looking through the forum for help and have found lost of interest and quite a bit that I don't understand.
I have also now checked exactly what the warning lamp is doing and with my iCarSoft am getting the error code B2291. (State: Current. Occupant position system status. front passenger side)
All check lights initially go out after starting the motor but after a few seconds the yellow air bag warning blinks once and after a short pause blinks a further 7 times. There is then a slight pause in the proceedings and the cycle is repeated. One blink and then a further 7. This cycle is repeated always five times and thereafter the yellow warning stays on.
I guess from what I have read in the forum that this is a Flash Code 17.
Is it possible to tell from the number of blinks etc. where the problem lies?
The guys in the repair shop have shown me on their diagnostic that the problem is under the passenger seat - probably the connector.
I am quite happy to check the connections under the passenger seat but I am just naturally suspicious as I only started to get this error after having the new screen fitted.
I am now terrified (having read in the forum about headlining sensors and A and B Pillar sensors) that they may have damaged some sensor or other when fitting the new windscreen.
Anybody out there have any thoughts about this?

Two theories - one they kneed the passenger seat and killed the pad. Happens often on other cars.
Two - they moved the seat back and the connector got damaged, pulled, dislodged ... You can raise the seat up and have or look, or unbolt it, tilt it back while in car (being cautious of the wiring) and have a look.

Got it - Spacial Sensor. Makes complete sense as they were playing with the windshield and the sensor is in the A pillar. Getting a windshield out would impact this area.

I bit on your tech's under seat theory, but the code you provide state otherwise.
