Hi Danny,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.
I see that you found the X350 forum for your post about wheels, but I have moved your post about Bluetooth from the forum for the X308 here to the forum for the X350. These are Jaguar factory project codes, and your 2004 XJ8 is an X350.
Before you make any more posts, please visit the New Member Area - Intro a MUST and post a required introduction so we can learn something about you and your Jaguar and give you a proper welcome.
Cheers,
Don

However you will need an aerial and a microphone as well as the Bluetooth module.

I just managed this in my xjr which had a motorola handset and a telephone module in the boot underneath the CD changer.
As Datspots pointed this only works the for telephone, it won't stream music.
As Jackra says its plug and play. I exchanged the existing telephone module for a bluetooth one from an x-type that I bought off ebay, and had to add a bluetooth aerial which I also bought off ebay, The microphone was already fitted in the roof center console in my car.
See and read this thread;

interesting i'm surprised it is pre activated . i have looked in IDS and there is definitely an activation and deactivation check box for audio/ BT in amongst the list of configuring options . when programing the audio module .
which coincidently i was programing a CD / radio in place of the original MD radio just the other day.
mine is deactivated but is also a non prewired car . may be the reason .
but as there is a check box the chances are some will need activation .
i believe this is the unit you will need . i bought it a while ago to fit to my car ,
only to find is not a pre wire car. even though it is a premium nav car with pre wire for standard sound .
it also says on the unit coding at dealer.

Have a look at post#25. That is what my rack looks like after installation of both Bluetooth and VACM.
