Default Car surging

There was an extended discussion in 2013 re: occasional surging of Jaguars when at or coming to a complete stop. The Jaguar representative maintained it was 100% the fault of the driver(s). I have the same problem with my 2006 XJ8. I have had five Jaguars, been driving 65 years without this occurring and know it's not that I am applying the gas rather than the brake. What is the resolution to this? It has occurred over the past 6 months or so without any warning lights and only on a hit and miss basis.

I'd start by watching fuel trims (see the many threads about air leaks / fuel trims) as even if it's not a leak you can post data for comments/ideas.

My 2007 XJ8L has been doing the same now for the last year. I have 107,000 miles. Just had the transmission fluid/pan/filter replaced and that has made a huge difference.
