Default Changing front turn signal bulb 2008 XJ8

I am trying to change the front right turn signal bulb in my 2008 XJ8. I loosened the metal hold down clip on the plastic cover behind the bulbs but cannot remove the plastic cover even though it is loose. I looked at a Carcarekiosk video but there is a jump cut showing that they did something to loosen the cover before they could remove it but the video doesn't show what they did. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There is a second metal clip at the bottom of the plastic cover. You have to insert a long bladed screwdriver to pull it back so you can remove the plastic cover. That is the part they didn't show on the carecarekiosk video.

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X350 forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.
