Default check engine light

Upon start up this morning the check engine light stayed on, this is a first for me. I guess it is time to buy a OBDII code scanner and see what codes are thrown. The car seems to run just fine. I take it that with the scanner you can clear codes and the check engine light?

Yeap, some faster than others. Nevertheless, it is a good tool to have in your disposal - money well spent.

Oh yes, at least get a cheap OBD tool like an elm327. Very convenient.
