climate control display temp
This is going to sound very strange, but I think my climate control went from displaying "72 F" to "72.0F" for the interior temperatures (no nav). I've seen the ".0" in photos of other cars, but I swear mine did not show that before. I was driving yesterday and it caught my eye because something was just different.
Am I loosing it? Or is there some key-combo that I inadvertently switched the decimal back on? I tired cycling through F/C, always keeps the decimal.
This isn't anything that bothers me like it's broken, I just swear it never used to show that decimal point before.
Thanks,
-Michael

You can set it Centigrade or Fahrenheit on the vehicle setup screen, so you could try to reset by going to C, then back to F. FWIW my display only shows whole degrees, (Centigrade - for my missus who is Italian !!). Her VW New Beetle give one decimal point as did my Rover 75.
I think it may have always had the decimal point, but can't for the life of me figure out why it looks so weird all of a sudden. No matter... thank you for the replies!
I think it may be this...... when in "F" mode, you don't get a decimal place and the settings are in absolute degrees F
When you are in "C" mode, you get the half decimal, ie .0 or .5
So maybe you were used to seeing the display in "F" and now it's in "C"?

So, slightly off topic, but where is the external temp sensor located on an X350 (we picked it up recently and I'm just learning about it)? Our '97 xj6l seemed to be extremely accurate and rapidly changed as the outside temperature changed (it would only be incorrect when hot and sitting parked, but would change quickly to the correct temp after driving it for a few minutes. The '05 sensor seems to be very slow to respond and doesn't always get to the correct temp (seems high). Just wondering where it is so I can see if it is somehow blocked, etc.

Think it has just been one of those weeks... the other day I went to change my radio station and turned on the blinker...

EDIT: sorry, meant the RH fog light (passenger side)

Thanks. I'll check it this evening when my wife gets home. For someone who thinks it looks like a buick, she is no longer hesitating to hop in the X350 rather than the Expedition (especially since the x350 gets at least 2X MPG over the Expedition!).
Of course, if we didn't have the lower timing chain tensioner issue on the X300, she'd drive that instead.
