Default Digital Cluster in my 2009 XJ358!

We all know I'm crazy but lets just say I'm a little insane. lol
Took about a month to plan and get all materials together. I had a custom module made overseas. Dash Fabrication was actually the easy part. I can load any dash. Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Ford, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mclaren, etc. All indicators, signals, lights, Analog and digital inputs, and vehicle information are displayed on the touchscreen. I can also display full maps, and one touch datalogging. Read and clear engine codes. The list is endless!

That's impressive. If I may ask, what is the approximate cost for a cluster conversion like this?

Hi my friend! I did all the work myself so I didn't spend anything on labor. Parts and materials ran me about $800. I used a BMW X5 monitor and fabricated to fit the cluster housing. Then Re-upholster dash board.

Interesting project! For me rings abell for future use, eg a early twentieth century hot rod.

Seriously impressive work, and all I can think of is the numerous computer and wiring stuff you impressively had to do.

I've got some blue LED's. Anything else I should know?

Did you get a discount? with Mcdonalds?
Personally I only have an X358, and even then some of their drive-throughs are quite tight in the curbs, potential scuffing & stuff.

It's tough. Not the Jaguar or Lamborghini, I mean the Mcdonalds after everything has been spent on maintenance.

(just having some fun)

Impressive work you've done there. You have both talent and patience obviously.

Very flashy, can it be done so as to retain the shape of the gauge cluster in the original panel?

Update -Jan 6 2025
A few years later, I did fabricate the dashboard to retain more of the factory shape.
