Anyone here can tell me where I can tap into the subwoofer wires? I looked under the rear deck inside the trunk but there are no visible speaker wires. Same when I took the subwoofers grill off.

I am wondering if I can tap into upstream in the wire loom. Perhaps under the rear door sills.

The reason is that I ordered an aftermarket 12" sub with an external amp. The stock subs rattle like crazy.

Thank you for the help.

Tap the rear door speakers on both sides to your high/low converter
This will give you full stereo and not mono for your woofer signal, then disconnect the factory woofer if you like

Turns out I found the wiring diagram for the car. I tapped the rear door speakers right off the amplifier wires. Works like a charm. Now the trunk rattles.

White/blue + left door mid-woofer
Yellow/blue - left door mid-woofer

White/green + right door mid-woofer
Yellow/red - right door mid-woofer

If you tap Sub wires it will be Mono. Some recordings have a left and right fade even for bass. Getting both left and right signals will give you full stereo sound and not mono. Now if you only have one woofer, then the woofer signal is fine. I have dual woofers build inside the cabin so this is why I wired mine like this. My vehicle also didnt come with factory amp or woofers

Cheers!

My friends! I am sorry for being MIA for so long. I found some paths that filled me with new opportunities and I been focusing and putting in the time and work. I just have to check back on you guys with an update. I'm still living here in Las Vegas and playing poker full time. I turn 32 Sep 30th. Couple months back I asked for help and this awesome, loyal community replied and helped me eliminate the issue right away. I feel like I owe you guys at least a Hi i'm still here!

I still have the X358. And at this point spent 3 times what I bought the car for in fabrication/building materials alone. That's not including my labor and time! lol. And I must confess yea I kinda re-designed everything I did in this thread so I should probably shoot some pictures for you all because its almost entirely different. It just sits in the garage. I barely drive it, but when I do, Its still my favorite car.

Hope everyone is great!
