Default Help with side marker function

My car (2005 Super V8) has 3 side marker lamps on each side
1. Yellow in the front bumper
2. Yellow in the front fender
3. Red in the rear bumper

At the moment only the two yellow ones in the front fender light up when the blinker is on

1. Are all of them supposed to blink with the turn signals (or any other function) or are some of them just reflectors?
2. If they are all supposed to function, is there a way to restore rusty sockets without replacing the whole plastic assy? (which I can only find for about $50 each) Maybe it's just the bulbs but I always try to anticipate problems.
3. Does anyone have tips or advice for servicing them without scratching the paint?

Thanks
Jeff

Red in rear bumper should only be on with parking or headlights.

If not on bulb is out or bulb assembly is rusted out.

Best way to remove lamp holders is with a body tool or if your really nervous about it you can drop the rear bumper, which is rather easy.

I replaced the front sockets on mine recently. Jag went cheap with these. I modified replacement bulb sockets from an auto parts store. It took a little carving and adhesive.
