How do I remove a door panel?
Hi,
Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the door panels on an '07?
I'm trying to remove the door panels and I'm a little afraid of pulling to hard - I might have missed a few screws... I've found 4 screws at the door handle, two on the front plastic cover (behind two round screw covers), and then one screw on the bottom of the panel. Any more screws? Even with these screws gone, the panel is still attached pretty hard...
Rgds,
Mike

There are normally a series of plastic push-in clips around the sides and bottom edges of the panel. These have to be eased away from the door with a thin blade inserted between panel and door, (blade to be preferably plastic to avoid damage). There may be a steel clip in the centre of the panel, (I had one on my old Mazda Xedos), which can be rather difficult to ease out. Other posters may have actually done the job, so see if any respond before "attacking" the car.

On a 97, after removing screws just gently prized off each time cable went! There are a series of plastic clips so the panel pops out. Sad to say that they get brittle and some may well break. 1 or 2 not a problem but if too many go then you might end up with one of those creaking rattles going down the road! As to replacing them I have no idea! On an X350 there was a lot of brute force needed with upward lift.
