Default Increasing diameter of the wheel

Hi there,

quick one here! On the edge of buying tires now for 20 Sepangs. OEM spec requires 255/35R20 tires to be installed however I've seen some posts with people using 255/40R20. This in turn would increase the diameter of the wheel from 27" to 28" - besides wrong reading on speedo am I missing something out? I have coilovers from Arnott installed and it seems like there should be enough space for the slightly higher tires. Have anyone tried fitting non-spec tires to a great success? I am just looking for maybe slightly higher comfort of the ride and curb protection with increased height of the tire.

Cheers!

No issue, this is what I have, 255/40R20 on my Callistos.
For exactly the reasons you mention.
And the speedo now reads exactly (measured with my GPS)!
