Anyone know where I can purchase a JTIS CD for our new 2007 XJR?

 

Others may pipe in but I don't think you can find CD's with usefull relevant info on any late model car. I got the JTIS for my 04 XJ8 (which it said it covered) because it was the latest model year available in JTIS. It only went to 03. Aside from that, it is absolutely and totally useless. There is almost no information other than some basic specs. Out of 4 repairs I had to do so far, it helped with zero. Do yourself a favor and ante up the fee for the GTR. It pisses me of that you have to pay what use to buy you a factory manual, just to read online for a day or 2 but hey..... Fact is, there's no good info anywhere else because they have it locked up and rape you silly to get it. Much as it makes me mad, I pay it.... $25 or whatever per day to read whatever single article I need. The information is not perfect but it's better than all the other crap that's out there.

 

The last ever version of the JTIS before Jag went online is version 21 dated 2005.
Unlike most on ebay it covers the XJR MY2003.50 and MY2004 so would have a lot of good info for your 2007 car apart from any parts/diagrams that have been superceeded since

The GTR website is a good place to get up to date info
That reminds me they owe me 5 days subscription as they shut the site most Sundays (the day i subscribed for) to upgrade

 

Once your subscribed download as much info as you can on your car and save it on your PC.
I know you cant download everything but there is a lot you can then you can refer to it free whenever you need to for free

 

Don't know what JTIS you have, but the one I use for our 95, 98, and 02 has a lot of good info. No problem with it.

Maybe I'll give Alldata a try because $14(edit) a day is ridiculous.

Left click on my name top left of my posts and a box will open up, click on send Private message and send me your email
You need to go into your user profile (User CP near the top left of the web page) and click EDIT OPTIONS and tick the box to enable PM messaging and email

It sounds as though you may not have fully installed JTIS on your computer. You need to install DAO 3.5 from the CD and then install the JTIS program.
