Default Just bought 2006 Super V8 Portfolio

Greetings you all,

I have been a member in the XK8 group for about 5 years and I received tremendous help from the outstanding people in that forum. I have been reading this forum for the last month researching the XJ'S. Well one thing led to another and I just got home with my new car. I don't deserve it and if I was still married I wouldn't have it, but I just love it.

Flew to Florida for $54.00 after getting a prebuy from a indy Jag shop and drove it back to Texas. Just a wonderful automobile, 29K miles a few very minor scratches but like new otherwise. The weather got cold in Vicksburg, Ms and and the front end went down in the morning when I hit the road, I was aware of this problem from researching this forum, so I dialed up this forum and was able to find and fix the problem after borrowing some tools from autozone. The right front shock was leaking, so I trimmed the airline and made it home with no more problems. How cool is that?

The previous owner couldn't find the owners manual but said he would continue to look for it.

Two questions

I can't figure out how connect my Samsung Galaxy S5 Please help if you can.

Where to buy the air suspension fittings and olive parts? Might as well change all of them.

Thanks

Charlie Pace

Very sharp car. Rare and hard to find especially at that mileage. Enjoy it.

They are seriously rare limited editions, very lucky to find one. The front wings ( fenders ? ) are virtually impossible to find, I did hear that one guy found a pair for sale from a car being parted out for spares and they were for sale for over £1000 each !!!

Very nice car! Is that Conker leather and I presume Black Cherry?

Roviw, are you possibly referring to the car I now own, previously owned by a forum member, who found the vents on a wrecked Portfolio in The Netherlands.

that could well have been the story, I read it on one of the forums, either here or the UK ages ago, thanks for the reference, I may have been adrift on the prices but thought it was in the region of that kind of money.

To sync your phone, press ##3#*# and then the send button on the phone menu dial pad on the car. After your phone recognizes the car, enter 1313 on your phone to pair. To download your contacts use ##2#*# send and when you shut the car down, leave the phone attached to the car's Bluetooth for 6 minutes after removing the key from the ignition until you see the phone has disconnected from the car.
