The cost of the correct stuff is eye-watering and if a proper flush is done, the shop have to use more than the gearbox and torque converter hold in order to clear all the old stuff out. Essentially, some of the new fluid flushes out the old. The well-regarded Jaguar specialist that did mine in 2012 used 10 litres @ £15.50 a litre. New sump assembly which includes the filter cost £95. Good thing it is only required every 50-60k miles !!
