My 09 X358 threw the code p0102. I scanned it and it said low voltage on the maf. Checked for leaks (none). I then removed the sensor and swapped another. I reset the code and this is what happened. The first start up after code is reset car runs great. I can drive 500 miles and the light wont trigger. Shut her off. On the second cycle the code pops. Car runs perfect still.
So I again reset the code. This time I also reset the ECU. Start her up no codes. Now I went in deeper with my scanner and found the p0102 pending.
Second cycle and boom it pops again. I went back to the auto parts store and showed them. I know if the sensor is not OEM it can confuse the Air readings. I then traded that sensor for one with a lifetime warranty. DL-3000 I believe it was. I screwed it in, scanned, no codes. And this time no pending p0102.
I knew the issue was fixed 100%
Im so happy my car is back to normal. It was very frustrating. I kept telling myself the car is not smarter than me. I will figure it out. I now know how sensitive these sensors can be and a slight difference the way it was designed will cause problems. Hopefully this info is helpful to others. The aftermarket MAF DL-3000 is a perfect match for this vehicle.
Anyhow its a beautiful day in Vegas

Along with many others, that code needs 2 trips to set. (Mandated by US and other laws, and documented by Jaguar and others.) So, at least you were seeing what should occur and hopefully it's now fixed.

Thanks for info buddy. Actually to think of it I could of asked members here and probably wouldn't have had to struggle with it for three days. I'm glad I was able to figured it out eventually
Beautiful car. Did you ever find a problem to create the codes? I needed to replace one small oring on one the small plastic tubes

Yes in conclusion it was the MAF sensor. I guess the one I got originally was defected for being brand new. Swap it out with the different brand (DL-3000) and all is well again.
I know how important those O rings are. I actually changed all O rings within the TB and intake hoses, added one to oil dipstick as well
