I can feel the car vibrating under me at idle. Is that normal?

Also, while on the highway I'll see the rom needle shake sometimes. Very slightly. Like give or take 100rpm

 

And the car is?

 

I had the dealer look at my 2013 AWD because the rpms were jumping back and forth 200 RPM or so under light acceleration. I rode with a tech and he noticed it too. The dealer later said they drove 2 other XFs and they did it too so it must be normal. I'm still not convinced as ive never noticed it in any other Jag ive driven, including XFs. I'm subscribing to see how yours goes. Good luck

 

Neither of my XF's vibrate at idle.

 

I have 2012 XFR which does the same. Have owned it for now 4 years. Have other repairs done via warranty but the idle issue is considered "normal" behavior.

 

Mine does not vibrate, only an RPM wiggle on the dash under light throttle

 

Every once and a while my SC V8 will develops a very slight "cam lope" shake (like the old solid lifter cammed muscle cars of days gone by).

I think it is cool.

And by "very slight", I mean almost unnoticeable.

Still cool.

 

Might be worth checking your engine and transmission mounts just to rule them out. On other vehicles, I've had a cracked mount exhibit the symptoms you describe...
