Question Potential purchase X350 VDP

I'm looking at a 2006 X350 with 43,000 miles. The car has a clean carfax and is a 2 owner car. It's priced at $17,500. It appears to be in beautiful condition. I've read the post on what to look for and have taken note of the things to look for. Can anyone offer any input regarding price and any other points to consider?

Many thanks.

I did a quick search on Autotrader and the price in the ball-park. I would look to see if the air shocks have been replaced since that's a big ticket item. Next, check out all the gadgets that move or have electricity. Assuming you have the nav system, ensure that you have a dvd to make it work. If the car doesn't, plan on spending about $200 on the dvd.

In no real order check:

A/C and heat
Bluetooth if enabled
Stereo system (radio and cd). It may have the ACM but don't count on it
Driver and passenger controls to inlclude pedals if adjustable
Rear sun shade
Spare tire area for signs of water damage or leakage
Cabin filter drain is clear. If not, it could cause flooding in the passenger footwell
The set of manuals are complete to include the unlock code for the stereo system.
Set of keys is complete. You should have two sets of remote systems and a valet key.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

It's in the right rear of the engine compartment. You should be able to pull up the access cover and see the drain.

Default autocheck

It'd be a good idea to get an autocheck acct, or even just 1 for the particular case. It always has more than Carfax offers. We're just more familiar with carfax because of advertisement.

I just picked up a 2007 VDP with 67k last weekend for $15,500. I traded up for a 98 BMW 528 and what a difference. I love it but I have to contend with all those "it's an old man's car." I found the information here to be very helpful when looking at it. Thanks folks.
