RCCM (Remote Climate Control Module) Removal help
Can anyone advise on how the RCCM (Remote Climate Control Module) is removed?
way up in there behind the instrument cluster....
I lack heat on the driver side, it's tepid.... I want to tear into the RCCM and see if I have burnt out connections.
Had the center console and cluster out the other day, I can see it but getting to it is another matter. Looks like the whole heater unit needs to come out, AARGG...

Yep, it has conflicting info.... diagram shows it behind the dash/instrument cluster.
another shows it attached to the blend door on the passenger side....
Just hoped someone knew off the top before I tear into it.... (tips & tricks)

Lack of heat on driver's side could be aux cooling pump not running or blockage in heater core.
Check aux pump first, replace or could be just worn brushes if not running.

I have done this so far....
Flush heater core, (Citric Acid) twice.
Replaced the Aux pump. (It was bad and helped a little)
I have not done electrical pin tests yet. as outlined in the shop manual.
I have gotten the occasional Control Module code, no engine light on, it was there when I was checking other issues. Don't remember the exact code but it referred to the climate control module.

Faults with CCM are rare.
While you are under the dash make sure that all the blend doors are moving-3 on one side and 4 on the other side of climate unit.
There may be a fault with the CCM but faults with blend doors are more likely.

Wish I could remember the code, It's not there now. I knew I had a CCM issue so I didn't note the code number....DRAT

Just checked it now... Took it off auto and tried different blend options. Now we get P1699 on the reader, no light on the dash.
A/CCM - going to have to do some pin tests....
