Hi all. I replaced the emissions purge control valve on my 09 VDP, which took care of the engine light. It also appeared to start properly once again, but after about a week now it's beginning to crank a lot longer than it should before firing. The car also seems to run a little rough at idle. Any wild guess as to what this might be?

Look at fuel pressure for sure. If you haven't changed your fuel filter I would recommend doing so.

 

I was told there isn't a fuel filter on mine.

 

Peterinio, who told you that there is not a fuel filter on your Jaguar????
Who ever it was, i would ask someone else for information..

 

I can't imagine there isn't a fuel filter, it is probably more that it is not easly accessible. I will look into it further.

Such as, one part way along the fuel line and one in the tank.

 

The dealer claims there is only one.

 

You can trust them 100% on every tiny detail, do you think?

 

I think the Internet is always right so...

 

To re/re the fuel filter do I need to start the car and then pull the fuel pump fuse, or turn off the fuel cut off switch? Or neither? Also, is it located inside the left rear wheel well?
