Throttle Body Installation
My Father in-laws 2004 XJ8 has a bad throttle body and I'm wondering if there is anything I need to know or be aware of before replacing it.
I've seen a couple sites state the ECM needs to be flashed. But I've also seen where it appears folks have installed it without mentioning anything special.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

It should not require anything other than bolting back in place and connecting everything the way it was. Be sure to burp the cooling system by opening the bleed screw on the reservoir while filling it back up.
This is how I did my xk8 and I am sure yours is near the same. The only thing I would add is for you to disconnect the battery before removing any electrical plugs.

Gus, thank you for the link. What a great site you've go there.
I haven't purchased a throttle body yet. Have been searching around trying to find a good price for one from a reputable seller.
Is there anyone in particular you would recommend?
Thanks again for the info.
