I think the short wheel base cars have a look all of their own.. Not to mention as an R with no leaper this one really stands out.. to me at least. I like it a lot. I do wish I had the larger brakes.

The wheels! The "performance" wheels that came on this car never fail to amaze me. They are so right. I've never understood why some folks switch them out.

Why no leeper? Is that am EU requirement thing? Ditto on the short wheel base cars too. Great car, wonderfull pictures. KBO mate

The car looks fantastic; the window tint is a nice touch.

The missing leaper is a UK thing, they haven't fitted them over here for years, many retrofit them, and I did myself on my S-type, but I don't think it really suits the XJR. Strangely for a change the EU tried to rescue us by allowing bonnet mascots as long as they bend or detach in contact with a pedestrian, but they were about 10 years later then the UK law, so Jag had already given up by then.
Yeah, I'm mega impressed that the standard wheels are so suited to the whole look of the car, I've seem loads of different rims fitted to the X350, but nothing looks better than mine - IMHO :-)

Gorgeous! Apart from the lack of a leaper and the RHD, I have always preferred the UK XJRs to the version we got.

Talking of leapers, I have just bought a pair which are for sticking onto the front wings at bottom behind the wheelarch. 16cm long, and are left and right handed. Completely UK legal too.

My old 1980 XJ6 had factory stick-on badges with the leaper in the same place, but were much smaller.

When I was shopping for my Jag XJ, about a year ago, the first requirement was that "it must be a short body". That more or less channeled me into an XJR, but only because so many of the XJ8s here in the US did not have the Navigation option.

I still think the short body is as God intended it to be-- inspired. IMO

So what percentage tints do you have on your windows? Looks great.

I wish the X350 XJR's sold in the US had the option of piano black trim in place of the chrome trim around the windows and rear tail lamps...

Beautiful car sir!

Just wondering no sunroof? Is it an option over there? I can't remember seeing any running around Boston area without a sunroof. I had a service customer that had a Volvo 940 with no sunroof but it was sent to him from Sweden by his brother.

I dunno TBH, I bought the car with the tints done, the rules are different in the UK, front windscreen can only have 25% tint, front side windows can have 30%, from the B pillar rearwards anything goes, so my fronts are factory, the rears deffo appear darker then 20%, I'd guess they're 10%.

Sunroof - I haven't seen anyone with a sunroof over here - I don't care - a/c is always on.

Sunroof is standard on all XJ's in the US.
