Default Will these fit my '06 XJR?

I'm looking for a winter set-up for the '06 XJR. Tire Rack suggests 255/40-19 (19 x 8.5 wheel) or 235/50-18 (18 x 8). I'm trying to determine if the wheels / tires this member has for sale will fit my car. They're from an '09 XKR.

Can anyone tell me if these will work - I'm concerned about brake clearance of course. Thanks in advance.

Ken

the xjr 2006 should have 19" with bremo's .. stay with the 19"s the 18'" may have a problem with the brake size.

I installed 18 inch winter tires/wheels on my XJR that is equiped with 19'' and Brembo's and it works perfect.

im confused because I thought all current body style XKs had a staggered set up.

anyways, 18" should still clear even with the brakes because they are the same set-up as S type Rs with the same brakes. id check with the dealer to make sure.

on XJs however you can not do a staggered set up. the computers are designed for all 4 wheels and tires to be the same spec and it will drive the ABS crazy if not.

hope this helps!

I did some research and in 18" sizes it appears a 245/45/18 255/45/18 or 245/50/18 all should fit and be very close in spec. anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks Mike - I appreciate your help. I think the tires are OK, but what about the wheels. They're from an XKR rather than an XJR - are the wheels identical? Will they fit my '06 XJR? Here's the link to the posting again. Thanks all for your help.

believe the bolt pattern is the same and if it an R spec XK it means the same size brake calipers depending on the year.

i'm going to run 18" xf wheels as i'm told you need 8.5" wide wheels with the brake calipers. standard xj and xk rims may only be 8"
