Has anyone had a problem getting a replacement windscreen for the x350 auto windscreens been out 3 times now

 

I had a nightmare with Safelite. First tried to get OEM, then one of their windshields, that they said was "cracked" then they refused to reuse factory chrome trim even though I ordered all the hardware from Jaguar.

Finally, I settled for their rubber chrome trim and had my windscreen installed by one of their master techs.

All in all a 2 month ordeal..

 

One of the guys on the UK forum had a shocking time getting his replaced. I think they managed to break the rear view mirror and it took ages to sort it all out.

 

My glass shop would only work with genuine windscreen ordered from the dealer on my SV8. They informed my insurance company that no aftermarket was available. Unfortunately my wifes 2009 Range Rover came with an aftermarket windscreen in it and is fogging up around the edges. I would fight tooth and nail for genuine glass on LR/Jag/Merc products. They really do supply superior high quality glass.
