Default Woods that were optional on the XJ

Hi all, another noob question, I was infatuated with the XJ in 2004 but not old enough to tromp into a show room and ask to drive one..

Therefore I'm wondering if anyone has the dealer brochures from the 04/05/06 cars..

My big question is: I've seen most of these cars have burled walnut, some have the gray maple which seems rare... were there any other woods available?

Cheers!
Tim

My 04 VDP has Peruvian Boxwood.

See the attached files.

I think that the Grey Birds Eye Maple was dropped in 05 or 06 and aluminium was introduced as an option instead.

Then I think Elm and Satin American Walnut were introduced with the face lift model and Rich Oak a bit later.

Very interesting, I had no idea they offered an all wood steering wheel. I've never seen one, in fact I do not think it is even listed in the parts catalogue, at least I can not find it.

The wheel is in the parts catalogue, under the steering and suspension section > steering wheel > Steering wheel/airbag > steering wheel > heated steering wheel > Full Wood.

C2C14907AEK is the number for one with a sable centre.

I don't think you can retrofit the heated option though. You just end up with a full wood wheel.

I have never seen Aluminum in the interior.. but very cool! thanks for the insight! If anyone has any photographs of a XJ interior with aluminum subsituted for wood, I'd love to see how it looks!

Cheers,
Tim

I have NEVER seen any Jag with the aluminum instead of wood. That drastically changes the look of the interior. I think I like the wood better.
