Default X350 Navigation System

Today on a visit to an unfamiliar suburb about 100 km away from home and on returning entered HOME as the address to get me onto the freeway. Once on the freeway I didn't require the Sat Nav but for the life of me could not see how to turn it off. So putting up with unnecessary instructions all the way home is annoying. Anyone any thoughts on this?

don’t use it

Mute button. My wife hates the voice, most likely because I choose a seductive female one.

Dammit you're right. Perhaps "Choose from map" on the 2nd page and stick in something close in order to drive into it. Over it.
If all else fails, disconnect the battery. <waits for the lawsuit>

Talking about Home, mine hits Home at the other end of the street a few hundred yards away. How do I explain that to my wife?
--------
It works. Be happy. And even though the maps are TomTom (Australia & New Zealand), yes it doesn't compete with a more modern unit. Like a cellphone for example. Or just don't go to the "dark side of town".

Or buy a Mercedes. My 2016 Merc (10 years later) doesn't even have a touch screen, because Mercedes thought it was better to have a knob down on the console. Fine for most stuff, but try rotating a knob to choose letters to input an address. Classy! <not>

There should be a "Cancel Navigation" option in the Navigation screen?
I had an S Type so not exactly sure how the XJ was setup or where all the options are.
