I visit my cell phone. It does not log in like a computer. It have to log in every visit from the phones. Every website is the same.
It is not accurate to look at the members/guest ratio. Many guests are members.

Sure that's possible, but the ratio still has to beat least 80% non members looking for answers to there problems I bet!

Most of those guests are actually 'robots' trying to crawl the site and possibly post garbage. Not real people and not Jag owners.

What p*ss*s many long time members off is people who don't complete their profiles and signatures with description of what car they're asking about or what part of the world they're in.

What pisses me off is knowing that there are some people out there who don't love their fellow man.

I HATE people like that.

Cheers

These are the kinds of threads that really serve no purpose. Sad to see them on this board.

jag-lovers.org is ANCIENT. A true freaking pain to navigate through. It is ancient like my Mark X - and the only website that has good info for my Mark 10.

Yea' when I revisited the site a few short weeks ago when I got my car, I noticed it hadn't changed at ALL since I first used it back in 2003! Still....it was a nice little site while it lasted. Its a shame it appears to be dormant.

I haven't been back there since 2012 as I hadn't had a jag since then.

Still a good site and a great reference source, unfortunately seems to suffer from an aging website that could do with updating.
So many good knowledgable and helpful members have originated there

sparkenzap (since 2002) and I (since 2007) still post on the old site. Alot of oldtimers still there. The old BPI forum used to be active 10 or 15 years ago.

I am frequently a "guest".

Readers will show up as "guests" as long as they are not logged in.
I don't bother logging in until I have something to post.

I am also a "guest" on dozens of other sites. Why would I create
yet another account when I have no interest in hanging out there
on a permanent basis?

Now, here is something to think about that will increase the
quality of life here.

There is another forum where "text talk" is prohibited in the TOS.

One member texted a response to a thread and was reminded by
the administrator that:

Text talk is not permitted on this forum. Please refer to the TOS".

The member apologised in the next message and everyone moved on.

Wishful thinking?

Easy fix.

Set the forum software to auto subscribe to instant email notifications
on every new post. Maybe they'll come back. Maybe they won't.

But at least you have increased the odds.

That site got me hooked on Jaguar. Doug specifically and others like him, helped me navigate some complex Series 3 issues. That site led me to this one.
