Default Allign front bar forward/back

So i played around and can see how to adjust the height of the bumper by adjusting the slide mount on the car and the threaded part of the mount.
but where i am a little unhappy with the alignment is how it its in relation to the guard.
now if i loosen the bolt on the mount there is not enough play to push it back any further.
is there an adjustment somewhere?
or is there really not much adjustment in this regard?
cus if i take the bolt out of the mount and try to allign it better i then can not get the bolt in the mount.

I could pull the guard forward,
but then that creates the whole thing of increasing the gap between guard and door and guard sitting further forward than the bonnet.

The bumper cover slides onto the side mounting brackets right? So the mis-alignment could be reduced by pushing the whole bumper cover in further. If it seems all the way in already, then you should be able to rotate (screw inwards) the main bumper cover supports in front (where the big bolts go in). That should align it better. Does this make sense?

the whole bumper cover is pushed as far in as it will go. (atleast feels that way)
if i take the bolts out i can possibly push it in slightly further but then the bolt holes do not line up.

how would screwing in the bumper supports bring the bumper further back?
those threads screw up and down and would they not just raise and lower the front of the bar?

Ok... it has been a while since having a bumper off my car. I recall the height adjustment on the front main brackets, but also thought they could be rotated to adjust in/out, for the exact alignment with the side guard/wing/fender. Maybe not. Or... is there a different version of mount due to market build?

there is nothing i can see that allows any in and out movement.
one could move the bar further forward if need be by using spacers however there is nothing that i can see to move in.

solid plastic mount, bolted directly to car, and the metal part on the end is bolted directly to the mount.

would love to be wrong or know of a variation that can be.

Spud it looks like there are 2 kinds of mounts: energy absorbing (USA) and non-energy absorbing. The USA style are all metal and have a piston effect to withstand a 5mph impact and spring back. Yours must be the other type that I suppose are crushable (which would make them energy absorbing too). I just can't remember now for sure if the metal ones are adjustable in/out but my prime memory was that they are. Sorry but I guess this is not a solution for you!

yeah they appear to be designed to absorb the impact by crushing similar to a modern day crumple zone.
made from what appears to be fibreglass reinforced plastic

if there is infact shock absorbing mounts in the US which are adjustable then that could be worth looking into tho.

when I look online all I see are same like mine. solid.

I mean I suppose there is always the option of making a custom smaller one.
would likely loose its effectiveness tho.

huh....
there you go....
found it....
not sure if adjustable or not.
it does look like it may be adjustable via the nut on the back.
question would be how much can it adjust and shorten the mount?
but I can see that it does require a hole in the car frame that I don't recall was present on mine when the bar was off. (could easily drill said hole tho)
