Default Blue tooth module

I've just bought myself one of these blue tooth modules:
https://www.discountcarstereo.com/a2d-jag97.html

I have a set of installation instructions here:
https://www.discountcarstereo.com/pdf/a2d-jag97.pdf

As I want to retain use of my CD player, I need to follow the installation 3 method, which involves plugging it into the back of the head unit, and "connecting/splicing/taping a wire to a 12V accessory (switched) supply in vehicle." I'm really not much of a handyman and I've never been inside a dashboard before. Will this wiring be easy and obvious?

As ever, any help will be very much appreciated.

I had a look at the instructions and it looks easy enough, since they have already identified a couple of options for a wire to splice into for switched power. And the module simply plugs right inline with the 8-pin connector.

You can find instructions on how to remove the radio in the Stickies section I believe. You start with removal of the ashtray and work forward. Easy does it so your wood veneer stays undamaged.

Seems like a useful and desirable upgrade.

Thanks for your help. I did the job today. Aside from having to wait half an hour to try the radio code again, there were no problems at all.

Thanks again!

I've bought the same Bluetooth module some time ago and just installed it in the car. Took maybe 10-15 minutes, plugs in straight away and a switched power supply in lower right(?) corner was connected to red wire coming from the module, works perfectly, I've also bought the little remote for it co can control volume and switch tracks on my phone from the steering wheel.

Very happy with results and can highly recommend it.

I take it you can't make calls using it? Lack of microphone, I'm guessing?

the tape deck converters aren’t too bad either if you run into interference on the FM band.
