Unhappy Differential noise

Hi to all you great guys on this forum, I need some help, my differential is making a whining/whirring sound. I have checked the wheel bearings and they are good, so jacked it up put it in gear and gave it some gas and the noise is definitely from diff.Faster I go the higher and louder the sound, and the reverse when I slow down. So my question is....is it the actual diff gears that are the problem or are there some bearings in the diff that can be the cause? There is no clunking when I put it in drive and or reverse.Any help would be really appreciated as I am in South Korea and the diff would be an extremely expensive part to purchase, so am hoping there are bearings that cause this.

Have you checked the fluid level and are there any signs of leakage?

Default Diff noise

yes have recently changed oil and there were no leaks. The noise started before the oil change. Roughly the same amount of oil came out as the new oil put in, so it was not lack of oil that caused the problem.
What is the website address of Coventry West ?

Most likely the pinion bearing set needs to be replaced.
I never could find them at bearing suppliers so I always get them from the JAG dealer.
All the other bearings in the diff can be had at your local bearing supply house.

I agree with Bob Gauff. I had the same problem in 2010 with my DD6.
You can replace the pinion bearings, but it's expensive and it takes an experienced and well versed mechanic.
Make sure the garage has the Vehicle Service Manual (esp. chapter 9); if not: you should find the fee-based download here: http://jaguartechinfo.com/ or pm me.
And last but not least: correct pre-load is of high importance.
Good Luck!

Jaguartechinfo:
Apparently the link doesn't work with the left mouse button. So try it with the RIGHT mouse button instead (open in new tab), this should work.
The address is: topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topix/i18n/index
