Looking at OEM rubber floor mats on eBay, seller claims they will fit an XJ6 but no model years specified.

Tried calling a few dealers but no luck.

Can anyone tell me what model/year JLM20843 is for?

If this is not correct for a 97 XJR X300, does anyone know the correct part number for rubber floor mats would be?

I used the OE Jaguar rubber mats (Jaguar call them 'utility mats') from my 1996 X300 in my 2000 X308 so I'd expect them to fit 1995 to 2003. Don't have a photo of the fronts - this is the rears:



Fronts were similar material/pattern but the driver's mat had a green inset carpet heel pad.

Remember the difference between SWB and LWB is 4 inches extra in the rear floor and this will be reflected in the length of the rear mats.

Thanks Graham. I actually managed to find a complete set on eBay UK from a 96 X300 so I'm working with the seller to figure out US shipping. OEM mats from the older cars are almost impossible to find over here.

Since they're for a RHD car, I'll have to clip off the mounting hole flap from the front mats, but they seemed identical otherwise.

The carpet heel pad is worn through on the driver's side, but I'm hoping I can remove it and replace. The rubber below is still in tact. I think they'll clean up nicely, and for GBP 30 for the set, I can't complain

One curiosity... on your rear mats, the inner corners are rounded off, whereas on these the outer corners are rounded off. I wonder why.

 

Almost impossible to find anywhere now.

The carpet section was just glued in on mine and could easily be removed/replaced if you wanted.

Looking at the photo of the set you've sourced, I think the explanation for the rounded off corner is simply that I've dropped mine on the floor the opposite way round to take the photo.

In my defense, I haven't slept since Monday night.

I was really surprised to find the full set though. But go figure.. I've gotten lucky on eBay quite a few times.

My newly acquired XJR is missing the chrome ashtray cover on the driver's side rear door, and the only one for sale on eBay was 15min away from where I'm going to pick up the car.

In that case, I'm thinking I'll buy some basic, generic rear black floor mats and cut them to size to replace the heel pads, and glue in place. Should be an easy fix

 

also I do not think that part would fit x300. I think that's the part # for 2003-2006 s type. I'll see if I can find the newer part # for our x300. Will post back once I find something

 

The new part number you provided may be for the s type.. the old one that was superseded is actually for a Series III XJ6 I found out, which is what those mats are for.

Thanks for following up with the part #. Although I've found my set, I'm sure someone else may find it helpful when looking for mats.

 

Did some digging. Here's some more info
JLM12009HLN this is the part number for the carpet set. Price should be around $150 used before tax and shipping
JAG649 this is the part number for floor mat set. The color is sable it is the only color available within the years also this would fit in x308 as well price should be $120usd before tax and shipping.

Don't over pay for these.
