Evening all, my new to me xjr6 needs the code inputting for the radio. The previous owner cannot help with this. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to restore somehow?
thanks for any assistance.
We do not have the issue of needing the code on the US models , but I have seen them offered on E bay noting the real official / fraud potential
The there are 2 or 3 fuses in the left heelboard fuse box and one in the trunk for the premium system ( external speaker Amp and CD player ) , the relay in the corner of the fuse box is required to close for fuse # 10 , 12 , 14 , and 16 for all fuse boxes the remainder are hot at all times
The standard stereo setup has the speaker wires coming out of the front control head , and the premium has the speaker wires coming from the trunk , same control head Jaguar / Alpine # AJ9500A
Firstly thankyou for your reply and assistance.
For the benefit of others with this problem in the uk, I rung sytner jaguar Huddersfield today. I initially requested parts and explained to a very nice ladies my dilemma. I got the impression I was not the first with this problem and she quickly put me through to service. Another lady asked my registration number again and in seconds came back with the code for the radio! I was done in Under a minute. A big shout out to sytner Huddersfield, brilliant service thankyou.
so there you go, codes are still available from jaguar in 2024.
Hope this is helpful to someone in the future.
