Hello. My name is Joe Gonzales, I own a 97 xj6 Vanden Plas. Owner didn't have the code when I bought it I think I found it. My battery was low and I jumped it so no radio. I took my radio out with the battery hooked up and now it's immobilized. HELP!!!

Welcome to the forums Joe,
I've moved your question from X350 (2003 - 2009) to X300 (1995 - 1997) forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

I believe that not all radios were created equal. Mine does not have the immobilizer, so have not seen your problem.
If you don't know the code to unlock the radio, then it would be a case of getting the radio's serial number and contacting your friendly neighborhood dealer. Although this may no longer be available according to other posts on the forum.
Although, I think there should be an unlock code in the drivers handbook or related manuals. So it might be worth checking over the car for these first
You might find additional info and online links to unlock the radio in this post
