My apologies if this thread is a repost...

For whatever reason I'm finding it difficult to obtain an owner's manual for my MY97 4.0 litre VDP. Dealership wants $50 and I think that's too much. Any recommendations?

Try Ebay. It's the only other place I've seen them.

STILL haven't found one...and my dash is displaying this symbol that looks like a hand grenade with an x through it. I think it means I have a tail light out, but when friends are in the car I tell them it means that no bombs have been detected.

You nailed it, it's a bomb sensing device! Seriously, it is the bulb failure light. Check all side lights, brake lights, high and low beams, and don't forget the number plate lights.

 

Went back to the dealership today. They still had the owner's manual, but this time charged me just $33 for it. Will be checking all the bulbs and fuses tonight.
